Waterstones.
I know confusing isn't it. In order to work within the digital age, the apostrophe (') has been removed.
So is this the end of punctuation as we know it?
For a store that calls itself a bookshop this is absurd.
At a time when every penny counts, the cost involved here must have dented their receding profits. And I see that the Apostrophe Protection Society have got involved, stating that ... "It's just plain wrong. It's grammatically incorrect.".
I actually think this is a bit of 'reverse psychology', announcing a stupid 'rebrand' to simply raise their profile alongside the assumed but probably not intended fracas. More to the point, it would be interesting to see if they knock some 's's off the £ssss that they charge for their books.
With more demands to meet the digital age expect more and more people to be lost with the usage of proper decent grammatical English. Just reflect on the so many mistakes and numerical substitutions for words like four and late (L8). Improper and unacceptable!
Wow.
Presumably it's just because websites don't use apostrophes in their names? How stupid.
Excellent news for graphic designers!

Totally agree, Alwyn, the incorrect use of apostrophes these days drives me insane, and for Waterstone's/Waterstones to do it is just ludicrous!
Fruitcake - I have just tried to correct a post that I made a minute or so ago because of a missing apostrophe. The system will not allow me to edit when I use my iPad so my apologies and hope you will not be too offended!
Lol, Sidesalad, I will try not to be! :-)
