A miricle for the owner's of a black cat

by , 4 months ago

Willow a black cat who is now 10 year's old disappeared from her home in Princetown Devon after she was let out to play according to the news today. After being missing for over four year's she was finally identified by an implanted micro chip and returned to her owner's. The shocked owner's said it was the best ever Christmas present they could have had as they never thought they would see her again.

I read that story, Sabre, and shed a tear of joy for the cat and for the owners.

Unless she had been living rough for four years though, I'm surprised her microchip wasn't identified earlier.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Nice to have a bit of good news!

Oh how lovely!

I read about that too, Sabre, and was thrilled for the owners. My last cat disappeared for just a few days once and I was distraught! She had a fascination for removal vans!

Apparently, the missing cat was cared for by a family who took her in, the owners are planning to contact the family and thank them for taking such good care of her.

It's a very happy ending fruity and I'm delighted they were reunited. What I can't understand is where has Willow been all this time apart from the last six month's when he well looked after as he did have a micro chip and if he had been taken to the R.S.P.C.A. or Cat protection he would have soon been back with his owner's. It remains a mystery.

Well, I'm sure someone must have been looking after the cat during that time, or at the very least feeding him/her.

Yes she looked in lovely condition. I hope we hear the full story some day as you say some one caring must have looked after her before she went to the foster home. A nice start for the New Year and some of the only good news about today.

Surely if the new 'owners' had taken the cat to a vet they normally scan for a microchip too, so it is a bit funny that it wasn't picked up earlier.

That reminds me that I really should change the address on my cat's microchip - it's only got my ex-partners name and our address from about 8 years ago on the other side of the country attached to it!!! Good thing she is mainly a housecat I think :p

Aah a nice story for the start of the year Sabre. Thanks for that.

Yes it has taking some time for the little mite to be reunited with his family but ultimately all's well that ends well.

Cats rock!!!!!

Well clearly the cat had been well cared for in the meantime. But it does show a lack of 'homing commitment' on behalf of the cat concerned .... I thought cats all knew their way back home? Anyway, as far as I am concerned, a pussy that's 'let out to play' and doesn't come back for four years can stay out ... I am not in favour of straying pussies, never have been.

Anyway, and a bit of news for you, I have just phoned the local CPL to ask for a home visit in preparation for taking on board a little feline in need of a good home. It's about time I had something warm and furry to stroke when I get home at night.

Any comments?

Thats nice to hear you'll have a pussy soon for 2012 a good beginning to the year, Snoops! I would just make sure its reliable you don't want it disappearing for 4 years after bonding as i do hear one can get quite attached to a pussy!! Lol

There are some priorities to having a cat (not going to say pussy as that gets you going Snoops).

l. A nice basket with soft cushion.

2. Plenty of good food not the cheap kind.

3. Lots of hugs and kisses and stroking and petting.

That will appeal to you. !!!!

4. A cover on your bed in case it fancy a night on your

bed (not in the bed).

5. A collar with a bell so the birds can hear it coming and

fly away.

6. A good brush for grooming and a comb to finish off

with.

7. A nice warm house so it doesn't feel a chill.

8. A visit to the vet for it's injections and general look

over if it hasn't had one. Some cats have all their

injections when they come to you.

9. Plenty of raspberry kisses on the tum. (lay cat across

both arms and let head drop down and feet stick out.

If I remember anything else I will let you know Snoops. Good luck and I am sure you will love the company and all the stroking you will be doing!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy for you, Snoops. The little girl/boy will change your life completely. He or she will greet you when you come home and love you unconditionally. Unlike those straying pussies.

Please keep us updated!

I can't wait to hear now, Lillie!

After the nine commandments from Sabre, the jury might just be out for a tad ... jeez, this is a house, not a five star pussy pamper paradiso!

Talking about those little bells that go round the cat's neck, a guy had a stag do in this town and his mates stripped him, tied one of those little bells to his manhood and chained him to a lamp post. The police were called and they agreed to cut the bell off so that he could come quietly although I hear he had a tinkle on the way ....

Yes I know Sabre, with a draw full of fresh batteries no doubt!

by Snoopy48, 4 months ago

Ooh don't be put off and pull out now Snoopy, you might never find out just how comforting and loving your furry little friend could be.
I've had several pussies over the years and found each one to be responsive to a little pampering and fussing, on the whole quite easy to please....

by LILLIE, 4 months ago

Thats wonderful news! If only Willow could talk!! 4 years of being on an adventure i'm sure...

by serena1, 4 months ago

Aw don't we all love a happy ending. It would have totally made their Christmas.
