I had just been looking at this and was appalled at their behaviour whatever next. Clerics fighting in the church with brooms it's bizarre and really horrible to see.
Glad you put this one on fruity.
Truly amazing!!
It's the kind of thing you may see on Harry Hill's TV Burp which simply describes the level of absurdity here. And doesn't it go to show that even in petty religious decisions, power is so important.
Perhaps someone should have told them the Nativity scene joke when Joseph walked into the barn to see his new born son for the first time. As he strolled across the barn, he failed to see the low rafters and struck his head firmly on one.
"Christ" said Joseph, rubbing his bruised forehead.
"That's a good idea" ... said Mary ..."I was going to call him Wayne"
Indeed it does show that, Snoops, I read a book recently about life in the Vatican which described the incredible depths of pettiness to which the 'inmates' will go to for the sake of power and influence!
Ps your Christmas crackers must have had better jokes inside this year... ;-)

It would be funny if it wasn't so 'not funny', if you see what I mean!
Then again, I had a giggle when I saw on the BBC links to this that the Sun's headline on this was 'Affray in a Manger'... :-))
What a wonderful headline I love it - Affray in a Manger - so funny and someone with a great sense of humour must have written that. I wonder what Jesus would have thought of it all ??
