Sheep killed after being deliberately run over by four wheel drive in Wrotham, Kent.

Kent Police were called to a field in Wrotham at around 9am yesterdaywhen a local person found the sheep. Fifteen sheep had been deliberately run over by a four wheel drive taken into the field and left for dead. Some were killed outright, many had limbs missing or were so badly injured that they had to be put down.
What kind of mindless thug slaughters and maims in the most horrendous way, meek and defenceless sheep grazing or sleeping in a field? And what else is this person capable of?
Can anyone explain this insanity? Wrotham is only forty miles from me and brings home the very vivid message that evil is sometimes only a moment away. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried when I read this.

Made me go cold when I read that Snoopy, what kind of mindless thug would do that for kicks?? Hope they're caught and the same thing happens to them - shove them in a field and let them outrun 4x4s! Absolutely heartbreaking

What more can be said? This has left me feeling like the rest of you, sad and sick.
What a dreadful thing to happen Snoopy and sorry this has made you cry but it shows what a wonderful, kind person you are when it makes you suffer like this.
Every day we seem to hear of human cruelty to defenceless animals. Do not even try to understand them because their minds are totally warped and incapable of rational or compassionate thinking unlike the rest of the normal population. Rest assured they will get their just rewards one way or another and then revenge will be sweet. In the meantime just realise that they are mindless morons.
It's unbelievable that anyone could behave in this way and just underlines our discussion in another thread about lack of self-control and respect for authority. You are right Snoopy: what else is this thug capable of?
Bring back Capital punishment!! No more pussy footing around waiting for social reports from apologists to explain away their behaviour as a result of a deprived childhood.
Just take them out and shoot them - I'm with Jeremy Clarkson on this!! I will volunteer to chase them around the same field in a 4x4. Make an example of them. An eye for an eye. When will this country wake up and do something about these thugs and stop making excuses for them??

Man after my own heart Bonz! Appalling things happening to animals lately..a horse in Cornwall was drugged and butchered recently, absolutely disgusting and so heartbreaking for the owners
There was another attack on sheep in the last couple of days in Oxfordshire. Five sheep have been killed, butchered and their meat stolen at an Oxfordshire nature reserve.
The sheep were slaughtered then butchered and the thieves left behind the skins, feet and internal organs, according to police.
This happened near to the busy A40 so I just hope that someone will have seen something so that these scum are caught and punished.
Never, never buy 'bargain' meat when you don't know the source.
I think this is sadly reflective Sidesalad of a recessive society where foul methods mean absolutely nothing to those that will steal, kill, maim and even rip animals apart for a few pounds. It's almost like we are back in the middle ages.

Yes but you have to remember that these people come from countries where this is commonplace - murder , arson etc
Another good reason to stop all immigration from Africa , Asia and Ukraine , Romania - we really have opened Pandoras box - who knows where it will all end - probably we will end up like a war torn , disease riddled , crime infested 3rd world country - Somalia in fact is a prime example of what we could become!
Scary isnt it but apparently the politicians arent very forward thinking - well up to the number of voters they can get - beyond that risk to the British public , business etc seems to be a minor factor.
Would be a different story if it was their properties , cars and business , wives being murdered , destroyed and raped would it eh!

Some of them look like cave men as they pass by. I am keeping my pussy in overnight now and he seems to be accepting the fact that he is not going out and settles down. I would be devastated if anything happened to him.

Its sick Omen, really is. I 'm lucky that I live in an area of low immigration, but I guess these things will filter out to us in a few years, if not before. I've got a tendency to see the best in people and give everyone a chance, but if that's what immigration does then I may well come round to your way of thinking !!

Immigration from war torn countries will only bring violence , terror and destruction to the British way of life destroying innocent families and peaceful people are always the ones who suffer!

These things can hardly all be blamed on people from other countries/immigration. Yes, immigration is too high & yes we end up with too many foreign criminals to add to our own. But native brits can be cruel and sadistic too - Moors Murderers, Peter Sutcliffe, the kids who murdered Jamie Bulger - the list goes on and on...... Back in the days of the British Empire, countries were taken over and the natives were treated far from kindly, so let's not get too carried away with the immigration thing. There's good and bad in everyone. But whoever does these to these poor innocent creatures should be locked away and the key thrown away!
Friend of mine owns a farm in Ireland - apparently they just find the cows heads - they bring them close to the truck - chop the heads off and stick the bodies in the transport - its apparently rife in Ireland farming community - Usually Ukrainian or Romanian gangsters!
Stealing oil is another biggie - apparently heating oil is big business.
Lorry hijacking is another.

Heating oil theft has been a big problem in my area this year, easy target in rural areas, thousands of pounds just sat there for the taking!
Same here, Jazz, especially as people tend to site their tanks near the road for ease of delivery.
same thing happens with poached deer, a big problem in some areas
You've no choice really as the delivery companies will only come so far on to a property anyway. Does worry me, most people only seem to notice when their boiler stops working, and there don't seem to be any effective locks out there
Another horrible one, this time in Derbyshire. Yesterday 6 swans were beheaded and their breasts removed presumably for sale. Who would buy such a thing or are they being exported somewhere?

Made me feel quite ill this morning SS I can't bear cruelty of any kind and even float a spider on a piece of paper out of the window. I daren't think what I would do to a person I saw who was willingly slaughtering innocent animals. Just hope for their sakes there wasn't an axe nearby.
Doesn't it make us feel that with reported instances of gross indecency and barbarism towards animals, we are slowly slipping back into the middle ages?
