Greece - The disaster is spreading...

by , 10 months ago

Just read about the real reasons behind the disaster - apparently the people are right into tax avoidance and the leaders and politicians have been sucking the public purse since the Euro came in.

In essence the Greeks should never have been trusted with the Euro - It was a mistake!

Hmmmm interesting debate it was!

If the super-rich and super-powerful are allowed to keep sucking cash out of the economy, regardless of whether it is Greece, UK, Ireland, or wherever, the financial system will collapse.

The cure found by the French a while back was Madame Guillotine.

Maybe it is time for governments and their wealthy tax-avoiding friends to think about closing the rich/poor imbalance. Putting cash in the hands of spenders is the only way to stimulate the economy.

....and whilst they're at it lets legislate so that Turkey's are given the right to vote for Christmas. It will never happen.

The rich are known as the wealth creators and this is often at the expense of the poorer people in our society. So why would any government want to limit their wealth creation when they fervently believe that the future of job creation is in the hands of these people?

Greece's lax approach to tax collection is similar to their and other european countries approach to all things political. Foreign governments don't appear to share the morals that we expect from our politicians. It is often populated by individuals of self-interest who are swayed by power and the trappings of that power including lucrative personal benefits to introduce legislation that favours other corrupt individuals.

The measure by which countries are admitted to the euro zone has to be reworked to exclude countries joining whom have nothing to offer other than debt and corruption.

What is happening in Ireland, Greece, Portugal and other european econonmies is of their making. In this country we blame Labour for the mess we are in, where in Europe they have every right to blame the banking system that has supported and encouraged countries to be irresponsible in the extreme.

Never say never Parchy!

Whenn the forthcoming Zombie apocalypes of 20.12.2012 comes rich and poor alike shall all be equal - all shall be brought asunder!

But diverging from the zombies I think Italy will be next - we used to have a joke about Italian tanks during the second world war in that they had 1 forward gear and ten reverse gears - might actually not be far from the truth there is talk of the good old lira coming back - glad I saved my holiday liras now - well at least until 19.12.2012.

I reckon it'll be good if the Euro just breaks down. I like the idea of returning to Francs, Marks, Drachma and Lira. Maybe a few countries will go properly old school and bring back Groats, Florins and Schillings.

I agree the Euro is a horrible little coin - ugly and most people i think prefer their national currency it gives them a sense of belonging and pride - who wants to belong to the Eurozone really?

Apart from the rich and powerful of course!
For the wee man it means nowt except more taxes higher bills and more euro spongers snuffling at the trough of the public purse.

Yep, totally agree. The Euro gravy train needs to come to an end before the roast beef becomes completely submerged.
