If it's not the wrong kind of snow, wind or rain it's now the sun that's causing chaos on our local network.
Do you think it's time we in this country started to address these issues of transportation during all weathers?
If so where on earth would the funding come from to research and implement such changes, any ideas?
I don't know about trains Lillie, as I haven't been on one for years - far too expensive and unreliable for my comfort.
But this morning the Air-con in our office conked up - apparently they are not meant to work when temp. exceeds 30C. What a joke. Why put these in place if they are not going to work on the days you actually need them.
Trains cancelled because it's hot?!?!?!? Unbelievably pathetic. They have trains in India, it's pretty damn hot in India but their trains still work. They have monsoons in India too, and guess what ..... their trains still work. From what I've seen the trains in India are quite ancient, and probably the lines are too so I don't think a right lot of funding is required to keep Indian trains running - of course that won't be the case here, no doubt it will cost zillions of our money - or at least it would cost zillions except that it will never happen, so actually won't cost a bean!

I haven't been on a train in years either HSP and with all this disruption I doubt I'll ever be tempted to.
Hope your Air Con is up and working now, I don't really trust the system with all these bugs around but some days like yesterday it was difficult to breathe without it, and last night was particularly hot and stuffy.
