MG Rover going bust

by , 1 year ago

I bought my beloved MG new in 1994. A year later the company went t*ts up and my warranty was invalidtated. Now I hear that four blokes bought the company for a tenner and cr*pped on their customers,

Oh poor Feline, it's not your week is it.

Doesn't sound like that tenner has bought them many fans, lets hope they've had a few sleepless nights in the aftermath.

BTW in a similar but distant vein I've just heard that Focus (Do it All) have called in the administrators, another one bites the dust..sigh.

Just another symptom of this whole scenario, Lillie.

I don't know how the 'Pheonix Four' can sleep at night!

T*ts up ... what a lovely expression .. simply rolls of the tongue, doesn't it?

And another stunner 'cr*pped'! I shall use it in context ..."This guy told me that a bird had just cr*pped on his windscreen .... I advised him not to take her out again" ... every one a winner!

The old ones are the good ones, Snoops!

Horrors, Lillie, it wasn't me who cr*pped on the guy's windscreen!

I shall have to go and lie down with a large one!!!!!

I read an article only yesterday about MG coming back with a new model 6. The review was suprising good, but did highlight several glitches that needed to be fixed, which most of us would expect from recent MG'S. If I remember correctly though I think this model is the prouct of a new chinese company, and they are using the MG badge because it has some recognition in the market already. Not a move I would have made but meh..

As for LILLIE and focus, I don't think I'd miss them on the high street, but the good news has to be the £9billion in PPI that UK consumers are entitled to from the banks =]

Hi, Hetley, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for that, I shall look into it as I've been very happy with my MG and would love to be able to replace it.

That's the review I read =]
Does look like a tidy motor if I'm honest.

Thanks for the link, Hetley. I shall watch this with interest although it's a little bit bigger than I would like; I'm definitely a 'hot little hatchback' girl. My ZR is the perfect size for me.

And, of course, being a girly I shall have to say that they could have chosen a better colour to review than that awdul orange!

by Feline123, 1 year ago

Orange is one of my favourite colours =[

As long as you don't end up buying one of those City Rover's. They are just terrible, and that is a car that definitely wouldn't look good in orange lol

No chance, that's defo not a car I would describe as a hot hatch!
