Mine would have to be either Excalibur (The Brilliant John Boorman Version) , Boondock Saints or The Thing (JC Version).
I think that means I'm a bit of a crusader for the poor and the righteous!
I just did this in another thread, about the Thatcher years. It has to be 'Brassed Off' with the late, great Pete Postlethwaite, the totally delicious Ewan McGregor, and the lovely female lead whose name I can't remember for you blokes!
I find it really hard to choose just one movie, as I have different faves in each favourite genre, so it's a bit like trying to decide if apples or oranges taste better.
But if I had to, on pain of death, I'd choose 'Edward Scissorhands', because in essence it's about being 'different' and how the majority of people perceive 'different' as 'threatening'. And, yes, it does reflect large elements of my personality and my life.
Aargh! I can't answer that... I have trouble with a "top ten". I mean, do I go for technical competence, acting chops, writing credentials, emotional impact, goriest chest bursting scene or most effective use of a chainsaw in self defence against deadites?
Embarrassingly, my most watched are Rom-Coms... Love Actually and While You Were Sleeping. They're closely followed by Gladiator, Zero Effect and Miller's Crossing though... (Just to prove I do have some testosterone!!!).
So that would be Bladerunner , Alien , Evil Dead III then!
Not sure I can provide one for acting chops - Perhaps Enter The Dragon or were you referring to Porky Pig (The Movie)?
Ouch, I'd be loin' if I said that chops joke was a mis-steak...
... Hmm. My ideal movie would be a mash-up I guess.
"Sandra Bullock vs... Army of Darkness"
"Forces of Supernature"
"Practical Black Magic"
"While you were sleeping: DEAD BEFORE DAWN!"

My best friend Dave worked with Ewan - Apparently he is a right luvvie totally up his own sphincter valve.
He comes from Crieff - they are a bit weird in Perthshire!
Omen, for me he could be so far up there but it wouldn't matter because he rocks!
Just remembered the female lead was Tara Fitzgerald - known in the film as Gloria Stitz!
Ewan is no luvvie, he's thoroughly nice, as is his older brother! My late mother lived for years just round the corner from him and his family. She knew them all well. She did tell him off for smoking once when he was a schoolboy! :-)
Feline, Pete Postlethwaite was indeed a very, very fine actor. I will miss him.
Well that was then maybe he is a luvvie now and then maybe my best mate was just talking bolls!???
I'm afraid the fame game seems to change everyone.
