Working in IT as I do it is one area I havent researched yet but i actually quite fancy getting one.
I have found some on Amazon as low as £70 but i need an sd card slot , usb and good skype connectivity. 7 inch would be the lowest priced but 10.2 inch would be even better if its second hand not a problem.
Anyone got any experience using these things and would you recommend one!
I have to take a visit to Comet or dare I PC world for a test.
Would never buy one from Pcworld or Comet - One in the same I believe now?
This looks promising:
Apparently though Skype doesnt work as yet on Android!
Hmm shame!
Pc World and Curry's are one now, not sure about Comet.
Hi Omendata
Please keep us informed if you get one and how it does! I love new gadgets but alas can't afford to buy the ones I love!
After much research it seems anything under £100 isnt worth having.
All Chinese clones and lots of problems.
First off processor and memory arent fast or large enough.
Personally I cant stand waiting ages for a webpage to load it really is annoying.
Secondly the touchscreens on cheaper models are not sensitive enough it seems!
Thirdly it also seems Google Android - the operating system they use is full of bugs and a lot of the reviews point out that the wifi isnt very good - distance and power being a problem.
For me the 3000mah maximum battery isnt enough as most of the tablets in this range seems to last no more than 3 hours!
Still I guess you get what you pay for - what I dont want to do is pay £100 and end up with a doorstop after a few months.
Like the iphone and ipad these things must be handled carefully hence the boom in rubber protective sleeves and anti bump / damage limiters so if you are like me A Tyson with ma Dyson ... probably not a good idea to take them out of the house!
Hello mister omen i see nokia n8 from orange racoon and except small screen I think it has what you ask . It is £80 and £15 month . I have n8 and the camera is 12megapix and maps and lots of space for music

This is actually quite a good buy its better than the rubbish on ebay and has a good battery.
Some more infoYou can upgrade the tablet OS but you need to be pretty tech savvy.
The tablets do not support flash so browsing the web could be really problematic - why it isnt supported is a mystery.
Shockingly it takes 16 hours average to charge the battery in these things which lasts a maximum of 4 hours on any tablet pc.
Most tablets only have Usb1.1 support so transferring files will be slower than they should be in a modern age.
