Regardless of your views on the Monarchy in general, and the royal wedding in particular, do you think tube strikes on 29th April are a responsible stance by the unions given that so many people will be coming to London to pump money into our economy?
I believe the threat of strikes on this day has been denied by the unions. However, the mere fact that the media and people are discussing this as a notion, is an equally powerful weapon for the unions, as it further highlights their issues.
I think the unions need much more lateral strategic thinkers in their top management. They are playing right into the coalition government's hands and will have little public support if any should they carry out this public stint on 29th April. Shame on them! I thought they would have learned all about positive and negative spin from Mr Anthony Blair after so many years in Downing St.
The time to strike from a unions point of view must be when the service they provide is in most demand. This delivers maximum impact.
But surely, Noddy it also delivers minimum public sympathy?
Give my love to Big Ears, or are you too young to remember that? :-)
Public sympathy dont buy you a loaf of bread to feed your family.Big Ears is here with me Feline123
But striking doesn't buy any bread either, Noddy.
Give my love to Big Ears!
