Just wanted to warn people about cancelling broadband!

We cancelled our Broadband as the price was due to rise very sharply this week, and when I phoned back the same day to ask for my mac code I was informed they could no longer give one as the account was cancelled, so we would have to wait up to 10 days before we could get broadband from another provider. Moral of story is:- Ask for your mac code at the same time as you call to cancel while the broadband is still current.Otherwise it's like your starting at a new address and have to wait until the pre existing one is clear. and it takes time.

This is a jobs worth person that you dealt with, this mac code should be available to you.

I've got to change my broadband this week, so thanks for the tip. They may have been a jobs worth, but sounds like it's worth asking at the same time just in case.

They are duty bound to give you the mac code when you called the cancellation line.
