Has any one expereinced any frauad from debt solution companies who claim to help you reclaim bank charges but instead ditch you

by , 1 year ago

Its been six months I haven't heard from a debt solution company called Money Claiming Experts who persuaded me to buy their service on this promise that they will help me with reclaiming my bank charges from my ex creditors and also get my remaining unpaid debt warded off. They took £299 and assured me that this money is fully refundable if my application does not get approved by their appointed special solicitors who have indeapth knowledge of banks' terms and conditions. They even provided me with thir web adress and phone number. I can't believe I really trusted them, normally I am not very easy to fall in traps. I did not sign up any contract straight away when This company contacted me, I really checked their web site and read their profile. Cut the story short, I sent them couple of emails but no replies and NOW I am feeling hopeless....

Hi tit4tat,

Was this their website: http://www.moneyclaimingexperts.co.uk/ ?

If so I've just tried calling them & have finally been able to get through to a real person (by calling 03300 66 99 59 & choosing the 'you no longer want to receive our services' option on the automated dialer).

Apparently they are in the process of changing their name to Lifestyle Claims (www.lifestyleclaims.co.uk).

I spoke to a lady called Susan who said that you should have received a welcome pack within 3 working days of submitting your details. You would have then had a 14 day cooling off period in which to cancel.

She asked that you send an email marked for her attention to customerclaims@lifestyleclaims.net & said that she'd look into it for you.

I hope that's of some help - let me know how you get on.

Hannah

I have just read an interesting article tit4tat about this company. Have a look at www.bbc.co.uk/swansea-claims-management-firm-under-scrutiny.shtml and I would probably advise that you contact the MOJ who are supposed to regulate these companies. I suspect by changing their name they are just trying to muddy the waters whilst they continue to trade and prey upon vulnerable individuals. Obviously you probably heard nothing further from them once the 14 day cooling off period expired. Lodge a complaint with MOJ and maybe you will eventually get your £299 back. For future reference it is quite straight forward to claim these charges back yourself and there is lots of useful advice on the moneysavingexpert website. Good luck!
